Bareboat Charter Master
Level – Advanced

This course prepares and certifies you to be able to charter a sailboat in the Caribbean and other locations worldwide. (For sailing in Europe and the Seychelles you will need to add the Sailing license & Credentials – SLC.) This course, when combined with practical on-the-water training and assessment with Houston Sailing, is officially recognized by most charter companies including Moorings, Sunsail, and Dream Yacht Charter.

With this class and a minimum of 50 days logged into your logbook you will be awarded the BBCM Level III Sailing Certification. This also satisfies adequate training for most insurance companies.

The Catamaran Endorsement can be added to this course for a 50% discount.

The Bareboat Charter Master training is often combined with the Qualified Crew Member course where one person will be the skipper and the other is mostly interested in crewing. Man and wife or couple teams are a great example and, more often than one might think, it is the the female that is going to be running the show.
