I started sailing on Lake Grapevine near Dallas, TX when I was 8 years old before moving to the Galveston Bay area of Houston in the mid-70s. I have a USCG 100-ton Master’s license with Auxiliary Sail and Assistance Towing endorsements and thousands of sea miles under my keel. I am an ASA and NauticEd instructor and own my own sailing school and charter business. I teach beginner and advanced classes including bareboat chartering, cruising catamaran, docking, navigation, and more. I am a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, Texas Maritime Cruisers Association, Galveston Bay Cruisers Association, and US Sailing.
